As long as the plan still gets processed via the agree.com platform as normal. Nothing should change in the processing of payments.

If a customer disputes a payment, where can I view and respond to those?

When a chargeback occurs, BlueSnap will notify the merchant via email. Agree.com have asked for all chargebacks to be represented by their merchants. Meaning the merchant would login to their BlueSnap merchant console which will take them to a chargeback911 account. It is there where you would manage your chargebacks.

We've created the digital payments feature in Agree as a way to save you and your clients time, and streamline the payment process so you can focus on serving your client well.

To do this we partner with Payroc and Bluesnap.

We've worked hard to make the process of setting up your Merchant Profile as simple as possible, to begin simply select the Finances Icon in your Dashboard. If you have any questions about the process please checkout our FAQ here and let us know if there's anything we didn't answer.

Q: How do my clients make an initial payment through Agree.com?

A: Your client’s card will be automatically charged the initial payment amount the moment they sign the contract.

Q: How do I collect the scheduled payments from my client through Agree.com?

A: Bluesnap will automatically charge your client’s card the scheduled payment amounts on the due dates you and your client agreed upon in your contract. Your client won’t have to do anything to make those payments, and you won't have to hunt them down for missed payments. We also will email them a reminder 5 days before the scheduled payments are due.

A: Agree will send both you and your client an email notification stating that the client has made the initial payment and when any scheduled payments have been processed. Our 'Finance' Section on your dashboard also allows you to keep track of all past, pending, and future payments.

A: No! Bluesnap directly deposits the money directly into your bank account.

A: This usually takes about one business day for the money to appear in your account.

A: Yes. For ACH Bluesnap fees are an industry low 0.25% +$.30 and our processing rate for credit cards starts at 2.99% + $.30 per credit card transaction. You can also pass platform fees on to your customer.

A: Yes. Your client can choose to pay any scheduled payment early. To do this they'll simply need to login to their contract with their 4 digit PIN from any computer (mobile devices do not offer this feature), they then can select 'Payment Options' on the left hand side to move up any scheduled payment date.

A: Yes. By logging in to their contract with their 4 digit PIN from any computer (this feature is not available on mobile devices), your client can select 'Payment Options' on the left hand side to change or update their card details.

A: Yes. When viewing a contract from your Dashboard on any computer you can choose to 'Make an Amendment' on the left hand side, and then select 'Cancel Payment'. Canceling a payment will also send a notification to your client letting them know that the payment has been canceled.

It's a good idea to do a little "spring cleaning" with your browser and clear the cache and the browsing data. If you use Chrome you can do that pretty easily by following the instructions above.

When we push out new updates or changes to Agree.com sometimes your browser holds onto the previous content and that can cause some small issues like content not loading correctly or the page design looking a bit funny. By clearing out what was there before you will get a fresh start with all the new goodies.

Can I use Agree.com Internationally?

Can I use Agree.com internationally

Can I use Agree.com outside of the US?

All local laws are a bit different, but as a whole you should be able to use Agree internationally. We always recommend double checking things with an attorney to make sure local laws are being upheld. :) We'll be working on complete international support in the future.

We’ll also have more language options available in the future. Since the contract is customizable, you could input your own contract items and clauses to make it work for you!

As of now we do not support international banking institutions, so users outside the U.S.A. cannot use the free Agree account. Any users outside the U.S.A. will have to have an Agree paid subscription in order to collect payments physically, outside of the Agree payment processing company.

Do I need to sign my contracts?

Do I need to sign my contracts?

Do I need to sign my contracts?

You actually don't need to add your signature to a contract created and sent through Agree.com. Creating and sending the contract from your account indicates your acceptance and agreement to the contract items and clauses you've included. This is based on the ESIGN act passed by Congress in 2000. That act ensures the validity and legal effect of contracts and agreements entered electronically, and also defines an 'electronic signature' as any electronic means that indicates a person adopts and agrees to the contents of an electronic message.

While that may sound complex it can be seen in something as simple as an agreement made by 2 parties through email, or can be seen each time we click "I Agree" to a website's or app's Terms of Service. In those cases a signature is rarely given, but the agreement is still legally made.

Currently only clients have the ability to add their signature to an Agree.com contract. Even though a signature is not needed by the contract creator, we will be adding that ability in a future update. Either way you can rest assured that you have legally agreed to your contracts each time you create and send them to your clients.

Contract Templates

How to create a template, send a contract from a template, duplicate a template, and delete unneeded templates.

How to create a template, send a contract from a template, duplicate a template, and delete unneeded templates.

Contract templates allow you to create and send contracts in just a few seconds. Templates can either be created from scratch in the 'Contract Templates' folder, or by opening any existing contract and selecting the 'Save Contract as Template' button.

To create a template from scratch, select the '+ Create a New Template' button from the Contract Templates folder. Next, write in the name and select the categories for the template. You can always come back later and make edits to these choices.

Click the '+' sign to add a section to your contract.

Some sections allow you to include fields in a template that you then complete later on a contract. Most contracts will have different Event Dates but may take place at the same location. In the example below the selection will include a blank Event Date field in the template, but will always have the location at "Imagine Studios". If you'd like to choose the location for each contract simply check the 'New location for each contract' box.

Once you've finished creating a template you can save it and access it from your 'Contract Templates' folder.

You also can save any contract as a template. Simply open a contract from your Dashboard and select the 'Save Contract as Template' button.

To create a new contract from a template, select the 'Start Contract' button from the template tile. You then will see highlighted sections that need to be completed before the contract is ready to be sent.

You also can easily duplicate or delete a contract template by hovering over the tile and selecting the small circle icon that shows.

Once a contract has been sent, your client will receive an email notification that contains both a unique link and unique 4 digit PIN needed to view & sign their contract.

If they accidentally delete or lose this email you can always resend one. To do so simply open their contract and select the 'Resend' button.

If your client still isn't receiving the email, confirm with them the correct spelling of their email address. If needed you can edit that address by selecting the 'Edit Contract' button, selecting Edit Client Details. Once the correct email has been entered, save the info and then select the button at the top of the contract to 'Save Online & Notify'.

Agree.com will automatically move active and signed contracts into a Completed status for you. This will happen on a contract once the event date has passed and the final payment has been made. Until then the contract will still be considered Active.

Multiple Clients on a Contract

How do I add more than one client to my contract?

How do I add more than one client to my contract?

Currently, each contract can include the first and last name of a single client. In the future we will be adding in the ability to include multiple clients per contract.

For contracts dealing with multiple clients (such as a Bride & Groom) most users choose to only include the name of the person whom they've been working with. Some users however choose to manually add in a second client's name.

If you'd like to include two names on your contract, you can set it up like this:

           First Name:

Write in person 1's full name (i.e. John Smith)

           Last Name:

Write in person 2's full name with an "&" symbol in front (i.e. & Sally Brown)

The client name on the contract will then read as "John Smith & Sally Brown".

As soon as the new Client Name update is released, we will send out an announcement.

Saving, Downloading, and Printing a Contract PDF

Saving a pdf, printing, and downloading a contract.

Once a contract has been signed both you and your client will be sent a confirmation email that includes a PDF copy. You can save and print that PDF as you'd like.

You and your clients will also be able to download the PDF copy at any time as long as it has been signed by viewing the contract online and selecting the 'Download PDF' button.

In order to help eliminate paperwork, and to allow our system to correctly track and save each contract online, we don't offer PDF versions until a contract has been signed.

         Canceling contracts and payments.

         For contracts that have

          not been signed

you can simply choose to Delete or Archive the contract altogether. To do so, simply hover your cursor over the contract tile until the (...) icon appears. Clicking that will bring up the Delete or Archive options.

         If a contract

          has been signed

by your client, you'll need them to agree to cancel the contract before it can be deleted. To request that from them, simply open the contract from your Dashboard and select the 'Request to Cancel' button. Doing so will send a request to your client, they will have 72 hours to agree to the cancellation.

            What is an “active” contract?

An active contract is a contract in any of the following statuses: Sent, Viewed, Editing, Signed. A contract is inactive when its status is: Creating, Completed, or Cancelled.

Can I change my email address?

Yes! Log into your Agree.com , go to My Account, and the change your email address there.

            How do digital payments work?

If you're in the U.S. you can offer digital payments to your clients. You will first need to complete your Merchant Profile in order to deposit your funds into your bank account. Completing your Merchant Profile includes creating a password for your Chase Integrated Payments by WePay account, filling out your KYC information, and entering in your bank information. If your clients pay digitally, the initial payment goes through on signing, and all other payments are automatically charged on the date(s) you've chosen. These payments will move directly into your Chase Integrated Payments by WePay account (which you setup through the Agree Finance Section) and they take 2-5 business days to process and be deposited into your bank account.

            Are Agree.com contracts legally binding?

Yes! In 2000, the U.S. Congress passed the ESIGN act, which states that digital signature are legally binding. When Agree was created, our lawyers approved the base contracts that we created for you. The contract items are fully customizable, and you'll be able to add your own terms and conditions. Because local laws can vary, we recommend speaking with a local lawyer to ensure your contract is valid in your area.

Absolutely. We use Chase Integrated Payments by WePay as our payment processor. They are one of the world's leaders in payment facilitation, and serve some of the most used and trusted companies with payment solutions.

Is there a credit card transaction fee?

Yes, a small one. All payments are processed through Chase Integrated Payments by WePay and use an industry-standard transaction fee of 2.99% + $1.30 on all digital payments on the free plan and 2.9% + $.30 on all digital payments on the unlimited subscription plan. This fee will never apply to non-digital payments such as cash or check.

Why did a payment fail?

Some troubleshooting tips for failed payments.

Some troubleshooting tips for failed payments.

We are not given an exact reason why a payment fails. If you or your signer has confirmed their card is valid and the transaction still declines, they should contact their card-issuing bank for more information.

           Troubleshooting

We require 100% accuracy for transactions. The information entered must match the payment card exactly.

Ask your signer to verify the following information:

▪️Card number

            ▪️Expiration date

            ▪️CVV

▪️ZIP code: If you have recently moved, the billing ZIP code entered may be outdated.

              Pending Charges

If a payment is canceled, interrupted, or declined, your signer may see a pending charge on their card statement. It may look like the charge has posted to their account, but it should fall off after a few business days. We send a void notification to the bank as soon as a payment becomes declined. It’s then up to the bank to release any hold on the cardholder’s funds.

If the transaction does not show up in your payment history, but appears on a signer’s card statement, this is a sign that your signer is seeing a pending transaction and not an actual charge.

If your signer continues to have trouble, we recommend they contact their financial institution or try making this payment with a different card. We are unable to push through any transactions that are not processing.

Choose to have your funds sent Monthly, Weekly, or Daily.

If you're finding that your funds are taking more than 2-5 business days to appear in your account, it most likely is due to your "Withdrawal Frequency" being set to either Weekly or Monthly. The fastest way to receive funds is to have that set to 'Daily'.

To make that change simply login directly to your Chase Integrated Payments by WePay account at www.wepay.com/login (note that the password may be different from your Agree.com password)

Next, select the Settings "Gear". From there click the Withdrawals tab and then change the Period to Daily. Here's a screenshot of what that page looks like.

         Canceling a scheduled payment.

You can choose to cancel any scheduled payments by opening the contract from your Dashboard, selecting 'Make an Amendment' and then 'Cancel Payment,' and then choosing which payment(s) you'd like to cancel.

Once selected, double check that it shows as canceled on the contract under the scheduled payment date. We will also send your client a confirmation email letting them know that the payment will not be made through our system.
